Update, update, update.

To begin:

Lisa and I went to the doctor on Monday for a ultrasound. It seemed to take forever to get back into a room probably because this appointment would let us know whether we were having a girl or a boy. Right off the bat, we got our answer:

We are having a BOY!!!!!

Everything looked great in the ultrasound. He seemed to be a little shy and covered his head most of the time. It's pretty cool to watch him move around and watch the little heart beat. The technician finished all the measurements and checks and gave us 3 feet of little pictures, I wanted more. Here are a few:

There have been many changes to the house over the past few weeks. Enloe Electric was on site once again to install outlets and switches as well as add the lights in the kitchen, master bedroom, and living room. Larry and Clinton Sawyer continued working on the tile in the kitchen and both bathrooms.

We went to Lubbock on Saturday to take a tour of every hardware store and try to find plumbing and electrical fixtures for the entire house. We also needed to finish the appliance shopping and were fortunate to find some good sales.

At the end of the day we found ourselves at Lowe's with a stacked cart and loaded basket. The only problem was we have a four door car that was not designed to perform such tasks as carrying a houseful of electrical fixtures and door knobs. I then remembered talking to my parents earlier that day and saying "no, I think we can make it" after they offered their spacious Tahoe. I am an idiot. We did manage to get everything to fit after 15 minutes of packing in front of Lowe's. We literally could not fit anything else in the car. I guess we could have strapped something to the roof.

Ortega came out on Tuesday to install the counter tops including the marble top they broke the last time they were out. They did however manage to leave their mark on the cabinets and door facings. We are looking forward to the return of the painters.
